About us

Adapt, Accept, Thrive provides high quality, therapeutic interventions through Drawing and Talking. Having worked in the educational pastoral sector for 8+ years, I have been able to see first hand the struggles children, young people and their families go through during their education and home life.

Working closely with children and their families to overcome many barriers they experience in their every day lives- from low mood, anxiety and more.

Being a qualified Mental Health First Aider, has given me the ability to spot signs of poor mental health. Having this qualification has enabled me to offer comfort and support to those experiencing trauma. This qualification will help support those participating through their sessions.

Drawing and Talking is designed to provide direct non-intrusive intervention, to support those who need help to move past their social & emotional barriers and experience with trauma.

Our session's get to explore with the client through their drawings in a respectful manner. Moving through the three stages, learning to attach and detach their emotions in safe way.

What we offer

We Put Your Needs First

We’re committed to helping our clients overcome their challenges and enhance their mental health and wellbeing.
Drawing and Talking is a great experimental tool which allows children, young people and adults to express their thoughts in a visual form that come from deep in their mind. Something they wouldn't get to do if asked directly to talk about their problems or worries.

Confidentiality

All out sessions are on a 1:1 basis, either face to face or these can be offered online.

All work produced in face to face sessions, will be kept in a safe space, locked away to conceal all information from our sessions.

A safe space

It is important the child, young person or adult taking part to feel comfortable in the space provided during our sessions. Before each session starts, the client will be made aware of the rules surrounding the session. This is to protect their space to share.

Patience

The client sets the pace for these sessions. Each person(s) who work through this therapeutic intervention will have their own experience. It is important, to be aware that all clients are recommended to commit to all twelve sessions, to gain the full potential of the intervention. Throughout the twelve sessions, the client's will process through three stages - however, they won't all experience these stages within the same number of sessions. It may take longer or some, but it is significant to be patient throughout it all.
